Bashar’s research looks at how Christianity has contributed to the normalization and establishment of patriarchal structures in the United States. Bashar focuses on feminist theology, intersectionality, and church-state separation. He also acknowledges Christianity’s role in liberation, but he is highlighting its oppressive side. Bashar is a senior, first generation Political Science major on the Pre Law track with a minor in Philosophical Ethics.
