About me
Rev. Michael A. Hunt, an advocate, educator, and administrator from Baltimore, is committed to promoting inclusive practices within institutions. He earned a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from UMBC and a Master of Divinity from Emory University. Michael's career includes roles in university administration, math instruction, and religious communities. He is recognized for his dedication to social justice education and as a change agent for equity and inclusion. His notable role is as Director of the UMBC McNair Scholars Program, enhancing opportunities for underrepresented students to pursue doctoral degrees. Michael co-founded A&M Hunt Consulting, LLC with his wife, Ariel, focused on transforming institutions through partnerships and inclusive principles. They are proud parents of Imani Brielle. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. at UMBC in Language, Literacy, and Culture, Michael aims to connect spirituality with STEM education, offering culturally relevant resources that foster self-esteem and holistic critical mentoring.
